Notice of DMARC policy change for our domain
We would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude for your continued support.
We have been operating a DMARC policy of “none” as a countermeasure against spoofed e-mails, and have been analyzing spoofed e-mails that were sent from our domain “sas-globalwafers.co.jp”.
We have confirmed that all emails originating from our company have passed DMARC except for forwarding by the recipient that we cannot be involved in, so we have decided to change our DMARC policy to "quarantine" effective December 2, 2024.
We would like to inform you that the following effects may be due to this change.
Receiving servers that support DMARC will be quarantined if an email that claims to be "sas-globalwafers.co.jp" does not pass DMARC. In addition, if the receiving email is automatically forwarded on the receiving side, if the receiving mail server (forwarding source) is not set to support DMARC, the mail officially sent by us may be judged to be a spoofed email at the forwarding destination and may be "quarantined".
Example: The "sas-globalwafers.co.jp" email sent by our company is received by the company e-mail address and then automatically forwarded to the personal address.
I received it before the change, but I no longer received it after the policy change.
In such a case, please contact the person in charge of the forwarding source email system or service provider to inquire about the forwarding method that supports DMARC and respond.
*Future Schedule
December 2024: DMARC policy will be changed from “none” to “quarantine”.
February 2025: DMARC policy will be changed from “quarantine” to “reject”.
