Global Wafers Group (GWC) has committed to using 100% renewable energy by 2050.
Our long-term targets are to gradually increase the use of renewable energy to 20% by 2030, 35% by 2035, and 50% by 2040, and to use 100% renewable energy by 2050.

Niigata Prefecture Eco Office Award
GlobalWafers Japan participates in Niigata Prefecture Eco Office System, which recruits offices that voluntarily take the initiative in reducing CO2 emissions, and then facilitates cooperation between Niigata Prefecture and the offices to promote initiatives to prevent global warming in Niigata Prefecture.
On October 21, 2018, our Head Office and Niigata Plant were designated as Niigata Prefecture Eco Office Sites. This award recognized our particularly unique measures and outstanding reduction initiatives in terms of sustainability, development potential, and ripple effects.
We will continue to participate in these activities.

We have been certified as an office that is making environmentally-friendly efforts under the Seiro Town Eco Office Certification System, which aims to promote environmentally friendly activities by companies in Seiro Town, Kitakanbara County, Niigata Prefecture.
